		<description>I agree to the extent that properly free trade, which saw developed countries eliminate subsidies and tariffs, would give producers in Africa (in particular) and Asia access to markets that they are currently denied.  I take your point about &#039;impotence rather than hypocrisy&#039;, but if David Cameron wanted to make a real difference, publicly tackling the inequities of the current system would do more good - and do his reputation more good - than encouraging Africans to set up a larger free trade zone within the continent.</description>

		<description>So you do agree with Cameron that free trade is something that would help poorer countries. Not sure what Cameron can do about United States policy, which, when I last looked, was run by a bloke called Obama, while Chinese or Indian policies are, since the last century, something which Britain has little or nothing to do with (try nothing). As regards the EU where Cameron should in theory be of some influence, the truth is that the CAP, largely run in the interests of France, is something that Britain has railed against for many years now, but as long as the Franco-German axis continues to run EU policy nothing will change. Sad and impotent rather than hypocritical I feel.</description>
